Key Concepts & Use Cases

What is “Dynamic Range Pricing”?

  • Rather than fixed option prices, dynamic range pricing lets customers enter numeric values (e.g. length, width, height, weight) and the system calculates the price on the fly.
  • The add-on supports a variety of units and dimensions, including length, width, area, volume, and weight.
  • You can define tiers, discounts, or surcharges per range, allowing non-linear pricing (e.g. bulk discount past a threshold).
  • Prices refresh instantly in the UI as the user adjusts inputs, giving full transparency and immediate feedback.

Use Cases:

  • Signage / Graphics / Printing — price based on area (width × height)
  • Blinds / Curtains / Custom Window Coverings — price based on width or height (linear)
  • Flooring / Tiles / Wallpaper — price per square meter or square foot
  • Metal / Sheet / Material Cutting — price per weight or area
  • Volume-based Products — e.g. poured materials, bulk goods
  • Multi-dimensional Products — combining width, height, thickness, material factor

Benefits:

  • Eliminates manual quoting and reduces pricing errors.
  • Provides transparent pricing so customers see exactly how cost is derived.
  • Lets you offer tiered pricing (e.g. discounts or surcharges) based on ranges.
  • Combines with standard fixed options and other add-ons to build complex pricing models.
